Archery is a fun, challenging, safe and accessible sport. With many equipment styles and several archery disciplines (target, field, clout, indoor and hunting), there is always something new and interesting to try amongst a great bunch of friendly and helpful fellow archers.
Great for the whole family - PCA has several families who come and shoot together regularly - with young and old having fun, learning together and making new friends! Suitable for all types of archery including – Target, Field, Competition & Hunting.
The “Try Archery” course is a prerequisite to be able to shoot on the Troy Adams Archery Field. All new members must complete the Try Archery course and achieve a minimum level of proficiency before being allowed to shoot on the range without supervision.
The minimum age for the Try Archery Course is 8 years.
Try Archery sessions are run on Sundays, starting at 9:00 am and 10:30 am (one hour later in Winter).
Please check session times and plan to arrive 15 minutes before your booked session.
The Try Archery Course is $25 per person per 60 minute session. You may book as many sessions as you like before joining - with a max. of 12 archers per session, you get plenty of help.
Learn to safely use a bow under the direction of trained and experienced instructors.
PCA supplies all equipment for the session of up to 12 participants.

Procedures / Clothing / Equipment
Learn safe shooting practices, do not wear loose clothing or open toed footwear. Long hair should be tied back. Bring water and sun protection.
